Shira Block McCormick is a popular lecturer, writer, author, professional and personal coach, and communicator. She has a special talent for captivating audiences with her humor, clarity, and ability to pinpoint problems and devise effective solutions.
Since 1988, she has had a thriving coaching practice, has taught thousands the art of effective communicating, interpersonal interacting, multicultural awareness, and effective business and technical writing. Her workshops and personal coaching are all result oriented, leaving participants with a clear path of "what to do".
Her client list includes corporate giants such as Merrill Lynch, Travelers, Spalding Sports Worldwide, AAA, ConEdison, and The Hartford Insurance Company.
Shira has been a guest on more than 100 radio shows and is a regular guest on an NBC affiliate talk show, sharing tips on interpersonal skills and getting along under difficult circumstances.
She has authored four books and has written for or been interviewed for popular publications such as USA Today, Glamour, Marie Claire, and Options of London.
Prior to her writing, coaching, and speaking career, Shira was the New England vice president of Commercial Mortgage Lending for Home Savings of America, the largest savings and loan in the United States, as well as the vice president of the East Coast Lending Division of IBEX International - an international securities firm.
Education: Shira earned her MA in Psychology and Counseling from Goddard College and her B.Sc. in Psychology from Boston University.
